The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in sushi preparation and presentation. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards while ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with attention to detail and artistry. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours. Manage inventory of sushi ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality. Assist in menu development by providing input on new sushi offerings and seasonal specials. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques and best practices. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned. Stay updated on current trends in the culinary world, particularly within the sushi segment. Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a restaurant or fine dining setting. Strong knowledge of various sushi techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles. Familiarity with food preparation methods and kitchen equipment used in the culinary industry. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
