This role requires creativity, precision, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality in the kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards. Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other baking tools. Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute menu items for catering events or special occasions. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Maintain a positive attitude while providing excellent customer service during interactions with staff and guests. Stay updated on industry trends in pastry arts to continually enhance skills and menu offerings. Decorating cakes and pastries to the standards. Experience Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a culinary environment. Cake Decorating or similar experience is required. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to pastry production. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Proficiency with kitchen tools, including knives and baking equipment. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
