Job Description
⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Test chef or cooks needed for two days / week for several weeks (Lyndeborough, NH) ‹ image 1 of 3 › compensation: $25/hour Hi Chefs, Production Cooks, Line Cooks, Pastry Chefs, Kitchen workers, or extremely organized home cooks! I need an organized, detail-oriented test chef to run trials of a new dehydrated pet food product. You will be working from a kitchen on a farm. This is ~ 2 days/week for the next several weeks.
Responsibilities include:
- Procuring ingredients from our ingredient list
- Meticulously weighing ingredients that go into the formulation, as well as final product, and calculating yield loss.
- Closely following a formulation/recipe.
- Producing versions of the recipe and carefully tracking weight, moisture level, etc.
- Note taking on observations.
- Tracking all inputs and outputs from each version.
- Recommending changes and alterations to achieve goals.
Required experience:
Food prep, food production, kitchen experience. You must have worked in a commercial kitchen and have an understanding of food prep. It will be important that you have basic abilities to use spreadsheets to track inputs. Must have a sense of humor. Must love dogs.
