Role Overview Inspire Through Food. Lead with Purpose. Sodexo’s Campus Segment is seeking a creative and driven Executive Chef 3 to join our team at The College of New Jersey ! In this high-impact role, you’ll lead all culinary operations across retail and catering venues, bringing innovative, sustainable, and student-focused dining to life. You’ll engage directly with students, staff, and clients—ensuring exceptional food experiences every day. What You’ll Do Lead all culinary operations across residential, retail, and catering services Develop seasonal menus that reflect food trends, local sourcing, and sustainability Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety Drive operational excellence in a union environment, ensuring compliance and collaboration Actively engage with students, staff, and campus partners to elevate the dining experience Manage food and labor costs, inventory, and vendor relationships Train, mentor, and inspire a diverse culinary team What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate’s education level or years of relevant experience. What You Bring executive chef or senior culinary leadership experience, preferably in campus, corporate, or high-volume settings Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and menu development Passion for engaging with the campus community and elevating student dining Proven success managing food costs, labor, and kitchen operations Ability to lead and motivate union and non-union team members Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred Who We Are At Sodexo, our purpose is to create a better everyday for everyone and build a better life for all. - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Minimum Management Experience
- 3 years Minimum Functional Experience
- 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
