Duties Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations. Maintain inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels. Assist in the training of junior kitchen staff on pastry techniques and best practices. Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and consistency in all products. Experience Proven experience in food production and preparation within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to pastry making, including dough preparation, baking methods, and presentation skills. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices in the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent knife skills and proficiency with various kitchen equipment used in pastry preparation. A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to continually improve skills within the food industry.
