Chef Position Available In Dutchess, New York

Chef Confidential Millbrook, NY 12545 Private membership club situated in northern Dutchess County, NY is seeking an experienced chef to join our team. We are proud of our well-deserved reputation for offering our members and their guests a consistently excellent fine dining experience with quality cuisine and attentive service. Our spacious clubhouse features a full-service bar and two well appointed dining rooms for regularly scheduled service Thursday-Sunday and occasional other days for private events. The job duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist with prepping ingredients for food service
• Assist on the line during service in any position – salad, grill, sauté etc.…
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in all areas, following all sanitation guidelines
• Address issues and problems as they arise in a professional and efficient manner
• Bring innovative, seasonal offering ideas to the menu

Requirements:

• Must be dependable with a positive attitude with a desire to contribute to a team
• 2+ years experience in a similar role within a fine dining establishment
• Baking experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques and food pairings preferred
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Willing to work 10-12 hour shifts
• Weekends are required
• Good knowledge of all industry standards and procedures

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• The employee is regularly required to walk and stand during entire shift
• The employee frequently must lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• The employee frequently bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, and lifts
• The employee works primarily indoors in a hot, damp environment with some work done outside

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
