The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly in sushi preparation, and will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties Prepare and present various types of sushi, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation. Plan and develop innovative sushi menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Ensure all food handling and preparation meets health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Cater sushi for special events as needed, adapting to specific dietary requirements when necessary. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong skills in food preparation, knife handling, and meal preparation techniques. Knowledge of fine dining standards and catering practices is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality control. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for culinary arts with a focus on Japanese cuisine is essential.
