Chef / Kitchen Captain – Fast-Casual Korean Restaurant Join a trusted name in Korean cuisine as we expand to the U.S.! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef (Kitchen Captain) to lead our kitchen team at our new fast-casual Korean restaurant in NYC. If you’re passionate about Korean food, thrive in fast-paced kitchens, and have leadership experience, we want to meet you. About Our Brand We are a Korea-based restaurant brand with over 30 years of history, known for delivering authentic Korean flavors in a modern, approachable way. Since 1992, we’ve built a strong reputation for consistency, creativity, and customer loyalty. Now, we’re bringing that legacy to the U.S. market, starting with our new location in NYC.

Responsibilities:

Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and consistency Manage and train kitchen staff; create and maintain efficient workflows Oversee prep, cooking, plating, and station cleanliness Monitor inventory, ordering, and food cost control Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations Collaborate with ownership on menu development and improvement Maintain a fast-paced service rhythm during peak hours

Requirements:

6+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen; Korean food experience preferred Previous leadership or head chef/kitchen manager experience Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and line organization Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with kitchen team Fluent in English and Korean Passionate about Korean cuisine and committed to excellence Why Join Us?
