We are now seeking a passionate, strategic, and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at The Parlour Room in NYC.

Position Summary:

The Executive Chef is the culinary leader of the kitchen, responsible for driving food quality, operational efficiency, and a healthy kitchen culture. This role blends creative execution with fiscal accountability, ensuring every dish meets the highest standards while achieving business goals. The Executive Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, including menu development, labor management, food cost controls, team training, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop BOH team through hands-on training, coaching, and mentorship Maintain high culinary standards and consistent execution of all menu items Control labor and food costs, manage inventory and ordering Maintain strict health department compliance and cleanliness protocols Collaborate with leadership on menu changes and R D initiatives Foster a respectful, inclusive, and empowering kitchen culture Enforce company policies while resolving team or guest conflicts professionally Represent the company’s values through leadership, communication, and professionalism

Qualifications:

5+ years of leadership experience in upscale or high-volume kitchens Strong understanding of food and labor cost management Clear communicator with an ability to lead diverse teams effectively Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and kitchen systems (POS, inventory, scheduling) NYC DOH Food Protection Certificate required (or ability to obtain) Fluent in English (Spanish proficiency a plus) Able to lift 30+ lbs and work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed

Benefits:

Competitive salary : $100,000-$120,000 based on experience

Health Insurance :

80% employer-paid single plan after 45 days

PTO :

15 days annually after 90 days of full-time employment; increases to 20 days after 18 months
