SUSHI CHEF
Job Duties Must have great interpersonal skills and act in a friendly manner towards customers and employees. Work efficiently in a team environment to achieve restaurant operational objectives. Executing all aspects of food service – preparing, cooking and portioning. Extensive knowledge and skills in proper fish cutting techniques. Ensuring you are serving creative and well presented food to guests. Work efficiently in a fast paced restaurant environment. Clearly communicating with kitchen staff, floor staff and managers. Creating a hospitable atmosphere of professionalism, integrity and efficiency. Maintain a clean working environment.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years working in the Japanese Restaurant Industry (Preparing Sushi) Must have Work Visa Must understand and be passionate about the Japanese culture. A high level of hospitality skills and desire to provide great service Strong communication skills Extensive food handling skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented and energetic.

Starting from/$72,000.00 – $83,000.00 per year• Based on your skills and experiences. •②Floor Manager / Sommelier Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional service standards. Hire, train, and manage service staff; develop schedules; process payroll using ADP. Conduct daily briefings; handle internal communication and updates. Manage reservations (Tock) and guest communication; answer restaurant calls. Supervise dining room flow, coordinating with kitchen and back-of-house team. Update omakase and beverage menus daily. Oversee wine, sake, and beverage inventory; manage ordering and vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations. Improve and maintain CRM system for tracking guest preferences and sales history. Generate daily activity reports for ownership. Occasionally assist Japanese kitchen staff with language or integration-related matters (e.g., insurance, banking, visa support).
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience in fine dining, with at least 2 years in a management or sommelier role. Expertise in wine and sake (CMS, WSET, or Sake Certification strongly preferred). Prior experience in a Michelin-starred or high-end Japanese dining environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and familiarity with Adobe tools. Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
Japanese language skills and omakase dining experience. Experience with Tock and Toast POS systems.
