Required Years of Experience 3 years Job Details Casa Cruz New York, is located in a six-story beaux arts townhouse on 61st Street, between Park and Madison Avenue. Casa Cruz New York has 220 seats across five floors and is open for dinner and drinks. We are focused on the design, development and operation of hospitality brands that, at their core, are about bringing people together. We are looking for talented, passionate, and committed professionals with several years of restaurant service experience to join our team! Ideal candidates will have a positive and outgoing attitude with an ability to speak confidently about our restaurant. In addition, you are a dedicated hospitality professional that takes pride in your work, is a team player, and takes safety and sanitation measures seriously. Job Description The Sous Chef works closely with the Executive Chef to maintain the highest quality and standards in the daily operations of kitchen. The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the guest experience.

This is achieved by:

Overseeing and ensuring a smooth and professional service
Exemplifying, managing, and maintaining a positive and respectful culture for the team.
Developing and teaching recipes and techniques
Providing leadership to a large team and ensuring all chef’s are accountable for their responsibilities and stations.
Maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring proper usage
Follow health department rules and regulations.
Perform opening and closing duties.
Administrative support including inventory and managing costs and waste Required experience Experience in a high-volume restaurant
Maintain high-quality standards, clean work habits with a great attention to detail Familiar with industry’s best practices, equipment, and procedures Ability to work in a team environment and take feedback well
Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods of time
