Head Chef Stone Soupe East Setauket, NY 11733 Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food production, and staff management. This role requires a creative individual with a passion for fine dining and catering, who can maintain high standards of food quality and presentation while ensuring efficient kitchen management. Duties Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food quality and presentation meet established standards. Manage inventory control to minimize waste and ensure the availability of fresh ingredients. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and support to foster a positive work environment. Coordinate catering services for events, including banquets and private functions. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all food preparation and service areas. Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor food production processes to uphold quality control throughout the cooking cycle. Skills Strong knowledge of inventory control practices to manage stock levels effectively. Expertise in food management techniques to ensure optimal food safety and quality. Proficient in menu planning that caters to diverse dietary needs and preferences. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience in catering services, particularly for banquets and large-scale events. Comprehensive understanding of food production methods within fine dining settings. Strong kitchen management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and operational efficiency. Exceptional food service skills that enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
