Sous Chef 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Southampton, NY 11968 Red Horse Market is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Excellence:
Assist in menu development, recipe execution, and plating Maintain the highest standards of taste, quality, and presentation
Kitchen Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff Foster a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and precision
Operations & Organization:
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, service, and station management Ensure smooth and organized workflow
Quality & Compliance:
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with HACCP and local regulations Uphold Red Horse Market’s commitment to excellence in hygiene and kitchen best practices
Cost & Inventory Management:
Assist in managing food costs and inventory control Develop vendor relationships to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
Innovation & Development:
Support the creation of new menu concepts and seasonal offerings Contribute to special events and align with the market’s culinary vision
Qualifications & Experience Experience:
3+ years as a Sous Chef in a restaurant, catering, or food industry
Culinary Knowledge:
Strong grasp of modern cooking techniques and ingredient sourcing
Leadership Skills:
Proven ability to manage and mentor a kitchen team
Composure Under Pressure:
Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Food Safety Expertise:
