Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in providing exceptional culinary experiences. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role requires a strong background in fine dining, restaurant management, and hospitality.
Responsibilities:
Oversee food production and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes are served to customers. Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure they meet the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. Develop and implement menu planning, ordering, and inventory control systems to ensure efficient use of resources. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels. Ensure compliance with all food safety and handling regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. Manage restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and equipment maintenance. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to achieve revenue goals and enhance the overall dining experience. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of ingredients and supplies. Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and menu concepts to maintain a competitive edge. Manage budgets and costs to ensure profitability and maintain the restaurant’s financial stability.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant or high-end hospitality establishment. Strong knowledge of food production, food management, and hospitality. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff. Proficiency in inventory control and management. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations. Experience with menu planning, ordering, and inventory control systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances. Certification in food handling and safety (e.g., HACCP) is an asset.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
