Restaurant Chef South Kingstown Restaurant Narragansett, RI 02882 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to lead our culinary team in creating exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts and kitchen management, with the ability to innovate and execute a diverse menu. This role requires a blend of creativity, leadership, and operational expertise to ensure the highest standards of food quality and service. Duties Develop and design innovative menus with the owners that reflect current food trends while maintaining the restaurant’s unique identity. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste. Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to foster a collaborative team environment focused on excellence. Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality in all dishes served. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Implement cost control measures while maintaining quality standards in food production. Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continuously enhance menu offerings. Skills Strong background in culinary arts with experience in food production and kitchen management. Proficient in kitchen management practices, including inventory management and control. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. Knowledge of food service operations, including health regulations and safety standards. Experience in bartending is a plus for creating beverage pairings with menu items. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
