This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee all kitchen operations, from menu development to daily food prep, while making sure everything we serve lives up to our values: fresh, local, and made from scratch. You’ll work closely with our team to deliver meals that not only taste great but also honor the Lowcountry’s rich culinary traditions. What You’ll Do Lead the kitchen team — keeping things organized, upbeat, and running smoothly every day. Craft seasonal, locally inspired menus that highlight fresh ingredients and reflect our customers’ tastes and dietary needs. Oversee catering operations , making sure every event — big or small — feels like something special. Manage inventory with a sharp eye on waste reduction and cost-efficiency — no ingredient left behind! Keep us safe and clean , upholding the highest food safety and sanitation standards. Train and mentor staff , passing on great technique, high standards, and a love for what we do. Collaborate with leadership to hit our profitability targets without compromising quality. Jump in when needed during events — we’re all hands on deck when it’s go time! What You Bring to the Table Solid background in catering and dietary-conscious cooking — you know how to make food that satisfies and supports. Proven leadership in high-volume kitchen operations with a focus on presentation and consistency. Strong knowledge of inventory management and ordering systems. Food safety certified, with excellent kitchen hygiene and handling habits. Experience in a production kitchen is a huge a bonus — we are grocery and café so ready to heat meals and made from scratch deli salads are important to our customers. A collaborative spirit — you know how to lead, but you also know how to listen. Great organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with planning and plating.
