The ideal candidate will be skilled in the art of hibachi cooking and passionate about delivering an entertaining & delicious dining experience. As a Hibachi Chef, you will perform live cooking demonstrations, prepare meals to order, and interact with guests to enhance their dining experience while delivering the best customer service to the customers. A minimum of 2 years as a Hibachi Chef or in a similar field is required. A resume must be submitted along with the application. Requirements
- Proven experience of 2 or more years as a Hibachi Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant.
- Proficient in hibachi cooking techniques & grill operation.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent team management abilities with a focus on collaboration.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality dishes.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead the kitchen team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook hibachi-style dishes, including steak, seafood, chicken, and vegetables, using a grill or hibachi table.
- Perform live cooking demonstrations with flair and showmanship, engaging guests and creating an enjoyable atmosphere.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to restaurant standards and recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the hibachi grill and surrounding surfaces.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and proper storage.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely service.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests and maintaining a positive attitude.
