Qualifications:

The Sous Chef is responsible for monitoring the daily functions of one of these areas, including providing support and guidance to the culinary team and creating, implementing, and maintaining quality standards. Previous Culinary Management experience is required.
o Develop and implement creative menu items that adhere to Hyatt brand standards
o Manage colleagues through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating, and hiring
o Monitor food production, ordering, cost, quality, and consistency daily
o Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
o Ability to work a flexible schedule that will likely include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Working Conditions:

While primarily an indoor job, must be able to work at outdoor locations on occasion, walking on uneven surfaces;
Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs frequently. & occasionally lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs;
Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, reaching, and repetitive hand & arm movements constantly; squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally
Must be able to twist and bend frequently and squat occasionally
