Job Description
Chef – Fine Dining Limelight 7724 Poplar Pike, Germantown, TN 38138 The Chef sets the tone for the kitchen staff, demonstrating techniques and coaching performance. This person will lead their team in creating an accurate and efficient food-service environment.
Responsibilities include:
Providing leadership to and daily management of the kitchen Holding staff accountable for recipes made to spec, every time Making sure employees are well trained and knowledgeable concerning the menu, processes, policies, and systems of the restaurant Developing and documenting kitchen standards and processes Training staff on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques Fostering an exciting and inclusive environment for the kitchen staff Managing inventory, placing orders, and minimizing waste Ensuring all equipment and systems are in proper working order, keeping proper sanitation and cleanliness Leading by example; prepping, cooking, and plating Maintaining a compliant and safe environment Upholding a standard of best-in-class food preparation practices We are looking for people with a: Positive attitude Team focus Consistent performance in executing the building of plates Passion for creating unique seasonal dishes Desire to grow and develop professionally Attention to detail and focus on quality control Interest in contributing to the growth of a local brand
