As a member of the hotel ExecutiveCommittee, the Executive Chef is a highly visible role withexposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. This position reportsto the hotel General Manager. The Executive Chef will be responsible for kitchen operationsincluding menu planning, provisioning, food preparation, andsanitation. This position directs the training of culinary staffand other kitchen workers engaged in preparing and cooking foods toensure an efficient and profitable food service. The positiondemands creativity on a daily basis, excellent communicationskills, and the ability to maintain the highest of culinarystandards. The Executive Chef works well under pressure, isorganized, flexible, self-motivated and is willing to work longhours.

Duties include:

Experience training food prep employees Ability to instill safety and sanitation habits in allemployees. Teach employees the importance of consistency in preparationand presentation Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparationtechniques Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and platepresentation is adhered to consistently Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standardsand procedures

Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people ofcultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds 6 years or more of progressive hotel culinary experience(typically with Hyatt) With opening hotels, previous hotel pre-opening experiencepreferred Service oriented style with professional presentationsskills At least 4 years experience in a senior role in a culinaryenvironment Proven leadership skills Must possess the following strengths: high energy,entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record inhigh volume property, effective communicator, effective inproviding exceptional customer service and associate relations, andability to improve the bottom line Clear concise written and verbal communication skills inEnglish Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal andadministrative skills Maintain communications with Corporate Staff Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt Service Standardsand Procedures
