$36.7K – $42.3K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Hospitality Customer service Mid-level Full Job Description Position Summary (2-3 sentences): Under the direction of the Director of Membership, the Weekend Manager on Duty (WMD) will be responsible for proper operations and safety throughout the facility. The WMD will act in a managerial capacity while on duty to ensure all facility staff are acting in accordance with their assigned job responsibilities. Additionally, the WMD will provide excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs, promotes membership and programs, and helps to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.

Saturday and Sunday Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring all members, program participants, guests, event participants & spectators are properly checked in and accounted for. This includes supervision of membership staff handling this responsibility. Responsible for the knowledge of all Family YMCA Programs and Membership information and answers questions effectively and timely. Responsible for ensuring the facility is closed and all doors are locked before exiting the facility for the day. Responsible for full knowledge of the Westport Weston Family YMCA Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and carries out full system properly, including completion of Incident Reports. Responsible for staying up to date on all facility and program schedules. Notifies Property Management Staff of any reported facility issues and Cleaning Company of any cleanliness issues. Periodic monitoring of Aquatics Center, Wellness Center, and related staff to ensure operations are running smoothly. Memorial Day-Labor Day will monitor Outdoor Center activities. Assist at Membership Desk when necessary to check in patrons during events, provide oversight, and open lockers. Conducts full facility walk-throughs multiple times per hour including all applicable locker rooms to ensure safety. Contact Program Directors in the instance of any program related issues. Provide administrative support to Program Directors as needed. Provide general oversight of one time events (i.e. Swim meets, Gymnastics meets, basketball games). Ensure all CAP protocols are being followed. Assist Safety manager with routine audits of programs to ensure compliance with CAP policies. Ensures all child abuse prevention policies are being followed. Prior experience working in a high volume, member-focused environment with a high level of customer service and hospitality. YMCA experience preferred, but will hire and train candidates with similar experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. Must possess or attain CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications within 45 days of hire. Must be able to respond to physical emergencies quickly and calmly.
