Responsibilities:
Connection:
  • Manage the RUMC membership program. Guide prospective members through the membership process. Serve as the point of contact for members who request a change of membership.
  • In coordination with the Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor, schedule New Member Joining Sundays. Provide onsite coordination for Joining Sundays.
  • Implement and maintain effective processes to connect new members with appropriate clergy/staff and ministry options to enhance their connection within the church.
  • Offer a minimum of two new member events a year.
  • Through utilization of Ministry Platform and additional channels, maintain record of visitors to Worship. Innovate and enable opportunities for connection with church visitors.
  • Utilize Ministry Platform to track and report program numbers monthly, quarterly and annually. Provide reports to designated staff and clergy.
  • Manage the membership program budget including allocating resources and tracking expenses
    Volunteers
  • Oversee the volunteerdriven, New Member Connection Team that helps new members connect within the church. Communicate information to the team in a timely manner and provide appropriate support and resources.
  • Recruit and schedule volunteers to serve as ERTs and Welcome Hosts for the Contemporary and Traditional Services each Sunday, and special Worship Services throughout the year, including Easter and Christmas Eve Services.
    Care Initiatives
  • As part of the Health and Emergency Response Team Ministry, ensure upkeep of campus first aid kits, equipment in first aid response kits, and campus AEDs. Schedule annual CPR/AED certification training for staff and volunteers.
  • Gather information daily (call hospitals, check/process emails, care lists and phone messages, etc.) and distribute daily hospitalization list and related reports in a timely manner. Schedule clergy care visits.
  • Create and assign new care cases accordingly within Ministry Platform. Maintain and update care records in Ministry Platform to reflect status of each case.
  • In collaboration with the Congregational Care Ministry (CCM) lead volunteer, coordinate Easter and Christmas care initiatives. Manage the CCM budget including allocating resources and tracking expenses.
    Weddings
  • Serve as the point of contact for weddings. Meet with and provide tours to couples. Ensure all required wedding paperwork and deposits are received. Utilize eSpace to schedule weddings. confirmation letter to the bride. Maintain schedule of weddings.
  • Contact ministers to check their availability to officiate at weddings on the church premises as well as at other locations. Write letters for the minister’s signature, inviting ministers from other churches to officiate at RUMC.
    Funerals and Memorials
  • Assist with funerals and memorials held at Roswell UMC, as requested. To include creating and printing bulletins, serving as a greeter at services, assisting with setup for services.
    Administrative
  • Compile information, update, and submit the weekly Prayer Bulletin to the communications team by designated deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain printed information and a relevant web presence for visitors and new members. Maintain information at Connection Desk and office entrances.
  • Update wedding information on website and wedding manual as needed.
  • Ensure nominations, budgets, scheduling, communications, and RUMC policies are adhered to as related to responsibilities.
    General
  • Attend and participate in full staff and team meetings as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.
