HRIM. SUMMARY

The Compliance Leasing Specialist will maintain housing waiting lists, show apartments to potential renters, conduct new resident orientation, and process applications and lease administration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Warmly greet visitors, prospective renters, and current residents Maintain accurate, up-to-date waiting lists and the status of rental units, including their availability Contact prospects on tax credit and public housing waiting lists, schedule appointments in Yardi, and conduct tours of property and vacant units Ensure available and model apartments are in good condition for prospects to view Process applicant files for move-in by conducting household interviews to ensure all information is correctly listed and documented on the application Complete background screenings, obtain third-party verifications, track responses, and prepare files appropriately for lease signing Consistently and promptly follow up on applicant inquiries to ensure all applications are processed promptly View apartments and prepare lease documents 24 hours before the scheduled move-in Conduct new resident orientations, thoroughly explaining all lease provisions and reviewing the house rules item by item Ensure all required documents for new move-ins are properly signed, scanned, filed, and corrected in Yardi Ensure all required information is entered correctly in Yardi and Elite Properly maintain all resident files, both digital and paper form Assist with administrative tasks as assigned by the Compliance Manager Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Abilities Knowledge of LIHTC, HOME, and HUD programs is a plus; must be able to clearly explain program requirements to applicants Ability to demonstrate professionalism and integrity and exercise confidentiality in all performance areas Must be a self-starter who is organized and detail-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to operate on a deadline-driven schedule High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of leasing experience required Customer service and sales experience plus Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite required Yardi and Elite experience preferred Must be able to work some weekends and extended hours

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer, standing, walking, giving tours, and meeting with potential tenants Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time Must be able to cover a variety of properties with stairs and conduct tours in various weather conditions “We don’t just offer a job—we offer a lifestyle!
