Intake Specialist – PRN 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars 500 Rue De Sante, Laplace, LA 70068 We are actively seeking an Intake Specialist with

LPN/RN/CSW

credentials to join our excellent team! Acadia Healthcare-River Place Behavioral Health, a service of Ochsner Health System, provides state-of-the-art psychiatric care for adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns. As an Intake Specialist at River Place you will participate in the development and implementation of patients’ treatment plan by: Reviewing prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies and procedures. Initiating contact to gather required clinical and demographic data from patient and other sources. Responding promptly to inquiry calls. Scheduling assessments. Conducting pre-admission assessments. Assisting prospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment. Referring inquiries to other agencies and community resources when not appropriate for facility assistance or admission. Coordinating with referral sources. Coordinating transportation arrangements for patients. Maintaining efficient, positive customer service attitude towards patients, their families and co-workers while being responsive to customer needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

One year of experience in the field of Behavioral Health highly preferred Must hold an active and unencumbered license as a RN, LPN, LPC, PLPC, CSW, LCSW, or LMSW Experience Preferred One-year experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in the mental health or substance abuse field.
