Job Summary The NASCAR Hall of Fame is an interactive entertainment attraction honoring the history and heritage of NASCAR. The high-tech venue, designed to educate and entertain race fans and non-fans alike, includes artifacts, hands-on exhibits, a 278-person state-of-the-art theater, Hall of Honor, NASCAR Hall of Fame Gear Shop, and an attached parking garage on Brevard Street. The goal of the facility is to honor NASCAR icons and create an enduring tribute to the drivers, crew members, team owners and others that have impacted the sport in the past, present, and future. The Part Time Admissions Representative performs a variety of duties involved in the operation (including Box Office, Events, Membership Sales, and Fundraising) of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Essential Job Duties Aids customers by giving directions, navigating ticket pricing, and providing general information and assistance. Monitors and controls crowd flow and assists guests with interactive exhibits. Responsible for cash handling and register settlement. Processes ticket purchases and other daily transactions. Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition. Replenishes daily materials and supplies such as lanyards, ticket stock, hard cards, and Hall of Fame maps. Staff are expected to work weekends and evening events. This includes working events impacted by NASCAR such as NHOF Induction, Charlotte Race weeks in May and October and others as scheduled. Enthusiastically promotes Combo Packages, Memberships, General Admission Tickets, and experiences such as Guided Tours, Race Viewing Parties, Induction Ceremony, Internal Programming Events, etc. Actively fundraise for the NASCAR Hall of Fame Foundation and Sponsorship departments. May perform other duties as required. Consistently deliver the best in customer service. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk for most of their assigned shift. Work Environment The noise level in the work environment varies depending on the event Ability to work flexible schedule and varying hours; weekends and evenings is required Travel Required This job has no travel requirements.
