out of 5 stars Chapel Hill, NC Summary Responsibilities may include supervising any area of the Event Planning function within the hotel specifically as follows: Develop a comprehensive understanding of conference event orders and their contents. Ensure break items meet facility standards and promptly communicate any deviations. Maintain a well-organized and tidy environment. Assist and verify that all functions are set up within the standard timeframe and in accordance with the contracted details. Ensure that meeting rooms and break kiosks are arranged according to the preferences and standards of the clients. Establish contact with clients, conducting pre-function meetings to review setup details and address any outstanding changes. Maintain a high level of visibility and professionalism when interacting with clients. Adhere to sanitation and cleaning schedules and duties, promptly informing department management of any deviations from standards or concerns. Actively participate in facility and department safety programs, promptly reporting any safety violations or hazards to department management. Communicate promptly, effectively, and professionally with department managers and staff members. Provide clear and comprehensive information to staff regarding daily event logistics, job assignments, and the delivery of products or services. Cultivate friendly and professional relationships with all current and prospective clients of the facility. Represent the conference service (CS) department in daily or weekly meetings as necessary and ensure follow-up and effective relay of information. Qualifications Ability to lift and move 50lbs or more through use of carts, flatbeds, dollies, and automated transportation device. Primarily PM shift (11am-8pm; end time varies based on business levels) with flexibility to work other shifts as needed.
