Job Description

Overview The YMCA of Greenville is a dynamic and rapidly growing association that seeks to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Wellness Associate II position is responsible for providing shift leadership to the staff, excellent customer service to all members, program participants and guests. This involves the greeting of all members and guests, booking appointments, assisting with questions regarding services and programs, organizing, maintaining and assuring cleanliness of wellness floor. above all else, we are on a relentless quest to make our community stronger beginning with you. This positon’s shifts are for Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 1 PM with occassional weekends. Responsibilities Provides day-to-day operational supervision to Wellness staff team. Schedules staff team. Assists manager in training of part-time staff members as directed. Provides leadership of daily activities. Provides guidance to staff in proper response to member questions/concerns. Provides exemplary customer service. Enforcing YMCA and Wellness Department rules and policies. Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized work area. Give facility tours and orientations to new or prospective members as needed. Actively promote the Y, memberships, programs, services, and lessons, as well as promotions and/or discounts available. Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by members/guests. Provide detailed descriptions of Y memberships, programs, services, facility features and hours of operation. Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers Attend/complete required abuse risk management training Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers Follow mandated reporting requirements Qualifications High School Diploma/GED. Minimum three years of experience working with wellness. Minimum of 6 months of experience in a leadership or supervisory role. At least one year or more customer service/public relations experience. A passion and basic understanding of healthy living and helping others reach goals. Actively participating in a healthy lifestyle. Must be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills and have the ability to multi-task. Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment. Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills. Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality. Excellent communication, listening and computer skills.

Requires:

CPR/First Aid, Blood Bourne Pathogen and Child Abuse Prevention training within first 30-days of employment.
