JOB DESCRIPTION

Premium Concierge Team Members serve as event hosts in premium areas during all home football games hosted by the Vanderbilt Athletics Department. Our mission is to train and empower our team members to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming, solution-focused environment for our premium guests. At Vanderbilt Athletics, we believe that every Premium Concierge Team Member plays a vital role in shaping the game day experience. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working events and are committed to creating an outstanding experience for our guests. Ideal candidates are attentive, proactive, possess strong interpersonal skills, and work well as part of a team. Anticipating guest needs and delivering service with a positive attitude are essential qualities for success in this role. This is a temporary, seasonal position that requires availability for all scheduled Vanderbilt home football games, as well as any postseason events. Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with Premium Seating and Hospitality team to manage all aspects of premium seating operations during Vanderbilt Athletics game days. Prepare premium areas for game day use and guest arrival; this could include but not limited to wiping down tables/countertops, looking for potential hazards, reporting any issues to a supervisor, set up guest check in locations. Uphold the exclusivity and integrity of premium areas by monitoring entry points, verifying tickets, and enforcing venue policies and procedures. Greet each guest with a friendly smile and warm welcome/thank you/goodbye. Communicate effectively in-person and via radio with diverse groups including donors, staff, vendors, and security to ensure seamless operations. Remain attentive to the needs and professionally responsive to the demeanor of all guests providing proactive assistance to all with the highest level of customer service. Address issues and questions related to mobile tickets, seating bowl and ticket purchases. Provide directional assistance for guests to appropriate seats and key locations throughout the venue. Identify and react quickly to our guests’ requests and complaints. Retain an extensive knowledge of each athletic venue (i.e. seating sections, venue personnel, policies, and emergency procedures). Enforce venue policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests. Assist guests to help accommodate their ADA accessible needs. Monitor assigned area for issues and opportunities to make lasting memories for our guests. Being alert and proactive to potential hazards and reporting incidents when they occur. Highly personable and energetic Premium Concierge Team Members are the face of the organization with whom our guests will have the most interaction. Required to work long hours on event days; ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned. Qualifications Experience in a premium hospitality area in a stadium, live event, festival environment or equivalent fast-paced hospitality setting is preferred. Must be available to work all regular season home football games as well as scheduled postseason events. 2025 schedule includes the following dates: August 30, September 20, September 27, October 18, October 25, November 8, November 22, and January 5 Effective communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure is necessary. High attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing and high-pressure situations is necessary. Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting in a respectful and courteous manner is necessary. Must maintain positive attitude, even while handling difficult situations. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time is necessary. Ability to interact and communicate with all individuals in a professional manner is necessary. Flexible work schedule and ability to work in an outdoor stadium environment is necessary.
