Resident Support and Solutions Specialist Mid South Best Rentals Memphis, TN 38104 About Us At Mid South Best Rentals , we provide quality single-family rental homes to residents across Memphis and beyond. We’re currently seeking a compassionate, solutions-oriented individual to join our Resident Support and Solutions team. If you have a heart for service, strong communication skills, and a problem-solving mindset, we want to hear from you. Our Mission The mission of the Resident Support and Solutions team is to promote housing stability and foster long-term residencies by listening, showing care, and establishing reasonable payment plans with our residents to maintain their financial well-being and enjoyment of the place they call home. When problems arise, we look for solutions, not blame. Our goal is to build trust, provide real solutions, and help every resident feel safe and supported so that they can continue to make memories in their home for years to come. What You’ll Do Serve as the first point of contact for residents who are behind on rent or experiencing financial hardship Engage residents with empathy, professionalism, and a solutions-first mindset Develop and monitor custom payment plans that support both the resident’s situation and company goals Document all communication and account updates accurately in our property management system Collaborate with the maintenance and leasing teams to ensure resident concerns are handled holistically Assist with outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups related to rent payment support De-escalate tense situations with calm, confident communication Advocate for both residents and the company in finding sustainable resolutions Who You Are A great listener who treats people with dignity and respect, even in tough conversations Comfortable having difficult conversations around finances with empathy and clarity Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple resident accounts at once A problem solver who looks for win-win outcomes Calm under pressure and able to work through conflict constructively Experienced in customer service, social work, collections, or housing (preferred but not required) Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus Benefits Competitive pay Paid time off and holidays Health insurance Opportunities for growth in a values-driven organization A team culture that genuinely cares about people — both residents and staff If you’re ready to be part of a mission-driven team that’s rethinking what resident support can look like, apply now and help us make a difference — one home, one family, one solution at a time.
