Line Cook/Prep Cook 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars 501 Pelham Road North, Jacksonville, AL 36265 Line and Prep cooks are expected to produce the menu and handle the fresh ingredients as instructed. Lots of prepping and cooking as restaurant is all from scratch. We are looking to add a few pieces to our team and working well with others is a must. Open schedule is preferred and please only apply if serious about food Summary As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality meals and maintaining food safety standards. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your core skills in food preparation, cooking, and knife skills to deliver exceptional dishes. Your experience in the food industry and culinary arts will enhance our menu offerings. Additionally, your premium skills in dietary planning and fine dining will elevate our culinary standards, while relevant skills in catering and serving will support our commitment to outstanding customer service. Join us to be a vital part of our culinary team! Responsibilities Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and menu specifications. Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times. Assist in meal preparation and presentation to maintain high culinary standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely meal delivery. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including equipment and workstations. Support menu planning and special dietary needs as required. Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary environment Strong knife skills and knowledge of food handling and safety practices Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations Experience in catering and serving is a plus Premium skills in dietary department and menu planning are advantageous Previous fine dining experience is preferred
