The cook assists with inventory control, and maintains a clean or organized safe kitchen environment. This position is responsible for preparing the food in an appetizing and appealing manner.
Job Description
Assist in the receiving, rotation, and storage of products
Prepares cooked food in accordance with nutritional guidelines, regulations, and residents’ individual prescribed diets and food preferences
Assist in fostering residents’ independence with eating by providing adaptive equipment when needed
Notify Dir. of Food and Beverage or any malfunctioning kitchen equipment or appliances
Ensure proper storage and handling of food in accordance with infection control standards
