Cook aboard the Essex Clipper Dinner Train! 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 1 Railroad Avenue, Essex, CT 06409 Description The Essex Steam Train is looking for a dedicated, organized cook who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast paced culinary environment. You will work as a member of our culinary team to prepare menu items on our dinner train, work at special events on one of our boats, and help to create food on specialty menus for private events and weddings.
Please Note:
All headcount and prep amounts are known before the work day begins. The service on our Dinner Train is banquet style. Requirements Ability to prepare meals aboard our moving train and maritime vessels Ensure high quality dining experiences for our guests Adhere to all safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen•Servsafe certified required Unloading and unpacking food service deliveries in appropriate locations Work with front of house staff to ensure quality across the board•Proven experience as a prep cook/sous chef Ability to work in a fast paced environment, under time constraints and varied climates due to vintage kitchen and open air riverboat Excellent communication skills and the ability to work together with your team Schedule flexibility based on entertainment and event schedules
