• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need
• Provide instruction to other Cook personnel, ensure all work gets started and set work pace. Ensure proper methods are used in accomplishing assigned task to include answering questions regarding procedures, policies and written instructions. Provide necessary materials to workers to accomplish assigned tasks
• Use a full range of quality cooking procedures from common and frequently used new or difficult recipes. Prepare a variety of meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces and gravies
• Coordinate work to ensure everyone has adequate work. Check work in progress and when completed to ensure all instructions have been followed
• On a day-to-day basis prepare multiple menu items for one meal which involve planning and coordination steps to ensure that all items are ready for serving at the same time
• Keep management informed of overall work operation (e.g., activities, progress, delays), workers abilities and training requirements
• Assure established safety and housekeeping procedures are followed by all workers on shift.“`{=html}“`

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following; repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing. Will involve regularly lifting/moving up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations, when practical, can be offered to accomplish the above requirements.
