In addition, the pizza maker is also responsible for preparing the bread, cleaning and maintaining the pizza station and placing inventory orders and supplies per company’s standards.

Pizza Maker Duties:

Cleaning:

• Maintaining a hygienic working space, clean equipment and pizza oven.
• Inspecting food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
• Setting up and maintaining working stations per Opening/Closing checklist.

Storage:

• Storing food in designated containers and storage areas with appropriate labels and expiration date.
• Daily rotating and inspecting ingredients expiration date to ensure the quality and freshness of each single ingredients and minimize food waste.
• Maintaining storage areas clean, sanitized and organized.
• Preparing Inventory orders for ingredients and supplies per company requirements.

Food Preparation:

• Preparing and portioning recipes prior to service.
• Preparing ingredients, sauce and dough according to standards and orders.
• Operating pizza ovens and conduct maintenance, reporting problems.
• Stocking and maintaining appropriate levels of food on the line.
• Assembling pizzas according to standards and orders.
• Adding toppings per recipe requirements.
• Delivering pizza to the counter.
• Monitoring load times in pizza oven.
• Coordinating food timing with kitchen personnel.
• Substituting or assisting cooks during emergencies.

Pizza Maker Skills and Qualifications:

• Pizza making experience of minimum 1 year is required.
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment, work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift minimum 20lb.
• Ability to handle high temperature environment.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

Must have a valid working permit.
