Line Cook/Prep Cook/Cashier Salty Hook Sandwich Shop 9691 W Fort Island Trail, Crystal River, FL 34429 Overview We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team, with availability for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and a keen interest in meal preparation, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure high-quality food handling. Participate in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools. Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required. Experience Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary skills is essential. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting. A passion for the food industry and a desire to grow within the culinary field. Pay Structure Starting pay is $12.50 per hour plus tips (with a minimum take-home of $14.00 per hour) for part-time employees, and $14.00 per hour plus tips for full-time employees. We are currently hiring for part-time Cook/Prep Cook/Cashierpositions, which may transition to full-time within 30 days based on performance and business needs.
