As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped to perfection for our kitchen staff. This position is essential to maintaining the high standards of our restaurant and catering services. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble ingredients for meals according to recipes and specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests. Assist in the preparation of sauces, dressings, and other components as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management. Participate in training sessions related to culinary techniques and food handling best practices. Experience Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques within a culinary or dietary department setting is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are necessary for success in this role.
