Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pizza Cook to join our team at a busy restaurant. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious pizzas while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Duties:
- Prepare pizza dough and toppings according to recipes and customer preferences
- Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment to cook pizzas to perfection
- Monitor food cooking times to ensure pizzas are cooked properly
- Follow food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Assist with food preparation, such as slicing vegetables and grating cheese
- Take customer orders and operate the cash register for payment processing
- Package pizzas for takeout or delivery orders
- Clean workstations, utensils, and equipment after each use
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a pizza restaurant or similar establishment
- Knowledge of basic math for cash handling and order processing
- Familiarity with POS systems for order entry and payment processing
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely preparation of pizzas during peak hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
