Line Cook/Prep Cook Drift Palm Beach 363 South County Road, Palm Beach, FL 33480 Cook/Prep/Dishwasher – Drift Drift, a modern coastal-inspired takeout restaurant in Palm Beach, is seeking a versatile and hardworking Cook to join our team. If you’re passionate about fresh, high-quality food and enjoy a variety of kitchen responsibilities, we’d love to meet you!
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items, including breakfast dishes, salads, and gourmet sandwiches, according to recipes and presentation standards. No hood system. Bake ingredients in the morning, assemble to sell. Handle all food prep tasks, including chopping, mixing, assembling ingredients, and ensuring readiness for service. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace. Minimal dish responsibilities. No plates or glassware, just cooking utensils. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor inventory, manage ingredient stock levels, and inform management of restocking needs. Ensure all food meets quality and safety standards, adhering to health and sanitation regulations. Collaborate with the team to maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Minimize food waste and adhere to portion control guidelines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role with responsibilities in food prep and dishwashing. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and commitment to consistent, high-quality results. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude. Experience with café-style dishes, espresso drinks, and smoothies is a plus.
