Cook for Assisted Living The Manor at Lake Morton Assisted Living 534 East Lime Street, Lakeland, FL 33801 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our Assisted Living Facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a strong background in kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety, plating, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Assist in menu planning and meal preparation, considering dietary restrictions and preferences. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and ingredients. Skills Proven experience in food service or kitchen environments, preferably in a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with dietary aide practices is a plus. Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure. Ability to follow recipes accurately while also being creative in meal preparation. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
