As a Prep Cook, you will assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped efficiently and according to our restaurant’s standards. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of the kitchen and supporting our chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring as required for various dishes. Assist in cooking and assembling dishes under the guidance of the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other utensils. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during meal periods. Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in food quality. Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen environment or food service role is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
