Class Summary This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits. Job Description
This Cook is responsible for preparing food maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, performing a wide variety of tasks to include keeping the kitchen organized and running efficiently, ensuring proper food handling, storage, and inventory maintenance is performed. Essential Duties
Cooking and preparing food according to established or special menus
Serving food to customers
Maintaining records of inventories, and assisting in ordering supplies
Cleaning and operating food service equipment and applicable areas
Ensuring proper food handling in accordance with ServSafe regulations
Performs other duties of a similar nature. Other Job Requirements/Information

Physical Requirements:
Due to the physical nature of the job, this role will require a physical and a 50-pound lift test
Vision Requirement:
Individual must be able to determine color variations to be able to detect spoiled foods. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, fumes, odors and extreme temperatures. Grade
The grade for this position is A12(2). The salary will be dependent on education and experience. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience in health and sanitation
One year of experience in, basic food preparation and service equipment principles
One year of experience in basic math skills
One year of experience in and basic safety with cleansing products
Experience working with seniors Public speaking Communication, and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
