  • is an integral member of the Food and Nutrition Services Team. The Cook is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to provide high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals for hospital patients, families, visitors and employees across the facility.
  • What you will do in this role:
  • You will prepare food items for patients, cafeteria, and catering functions using standardized recipes and high-quality production skills
  • You will assemble plates for patients and cafeteria patrons
  • You will work on patient tray assembly line and you will follow menu directives for determining food items for each tray
  • You will have a basic knowledge of therapeutic diets
  • You will clean and sanitize kitchen work area, all equipment and tables and you will collect and dispose of garbage
  • You will maintain HACCP record logs, temperature logs and assist with food stocking
  • What qualifications you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • 6 months of food service experience is required
