Kitchen Team Member/Cook Trailhead Berkshires Sheffield, MA 01257 Job Summary We are seeking new kitchen team members to participate in the launch of “Trailhead Berkshires”, a new culinary destination in the Southern Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality food service while ensuring food safety and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Areas of focus are food-service prep and line cook service, as well as breakfast prep. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is handled, stored, and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering events as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management. Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation while adhering to safety protocols. Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when necessary. Requirements Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Willingness to learn new skills related to catering, cooking, and food handling. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required.
