THE JOB:
Join the exciting culinary team at MGM Springfield as a Garde MangerCook, where you’ll be instrumental in mass food preparation, managinginventory, and beautifully plating dishes for our buffets and banquets,all while working alongside our esteemed Chef. Your skills will helpcreate unforgettable culinary experiences for our guests!
STARTING RATE
$21.30 per hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY
Maintain solid knowledge of foodproducts and skillfully apply culinary techniques Identify and safelyuse kitchen equipment Restock kitchen supplies and food items requiredfor service Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping andsanitation Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail withplate presentation Maintain solid knowledge, understanding andpreparation of base sauces, stocks and soups
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Willbe working in a cold kitchen Knowledgeable of restaurant operations,such as opening/closing procedures, food cost awareness, and orderingfood products Knowledge of food and beverage products, includingpreparation methods/times, major ingredients, quality standards, taste,appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and methodpresentation Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations Mustbe 18 years of age Can work varied shifts, to include weekend andholidays
