Lead Line Cook The Bay Club 2 Bay Club Drive, Mattapoisett, MA 02739 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in a fine dining environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. You will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and maintaining food safety standards. In addition, you may be asked based on level of business to assist with working the line at Salty’s Poolside Bar during peak season June – September. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment Adhere to food safety regulations and ensure proper handling of ingredients Assist in menu planning and development, providing input on seasonal offerings Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager Utilize proper knife skills for efficient food preparation Skills Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations Experience in menu planning and execution within a culinary setting Proficiency with knives and other kitchen tools for efficient cooking Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Previous experience in fine dining or high-volume establishments is preferred Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff Join us as we create memorable dining experiences through exceptional culinary offerings!
