Line Cook The Inn on Shipyard Park Mattapoisett, MA 02739 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong commitment to meal preparation and food handling. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining the standards of our fine dining establishment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning, ensuring that all dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues as necessary. Experience Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a line cook or similar role, is preferred. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling best practices. Familiarity with fine dining standards and kitchen operations is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
