The ideal candidate will have experience in meal preparation, food safety, and menu planning, with a passion for creating delicious and nutritious meals. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of food quality and safety within our kitchen environment, whether in a restaurant, catering service, or dietary department. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices. Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish creativity. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling procedures. Collaborate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for ordering. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on culinary techniques and safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant, catering service, or dietary department. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality standards. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
