Line Cook Park Street Grille Rockland, ME 04841 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, demonstrating proficiency in meal preparation and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and catering options. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the dietary department. Skills Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or fine dining setting. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with menu planning and catering services is a plus. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen equipment. Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create memorable dining experiences. Open 7 days a week. Guaranteed 2 days off minimum, generally in succession. ServSafe preferred. Will reimburse for course if needed, pay review after 60 days.
