Line Cook Rebar Taproom Springfield, MO 65807 Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, demonstrating a commitment to quality and excellence in every dish. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing meals according to our menu standards and ensuring food safety practices are followed. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes. Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, grills, ovens, and fryers. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, communicating needs to the kitchen manager. Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen area, including proper sanitation practices. Qualifications Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within the culinary industry. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling procedures, and kitchen safety practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods (grilling, sautéing, baking). Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
