The Dietary Cook will ensure that all meals are prepared in accordance with dietary guidelines and preferences, contributing to the overall health and well-being of those served. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Collaborate with the dietary department to provide exceptional food service to residents. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Conduct regular inventory checks of kitchen supplies and ingredients, reporting any shortages as necessary. Train and supervise dietary aides or kitchen staff in food handling and preparation techniques. Skills Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations. Experience working in a dietary department or food service environment is preferred.
